Those who attended our recent workshop, Bumblebees Fly, were treated to three different top-flight, high energy presenters who shook the audience by the shoulders, strongly encouraging them to let go of their negative mindset - reinforced daily by the media - reminding them that even in this economy, there are a number opportunities for success. Such opportunities, they pointed out, are difficult to see unless you keep a positive attitude.

Marilyn Ellis

Known worldwide as an authority on future opportunities in business, Marilyn explored with the audience what the world will look like by 2025 and the kinds of business opportunities that lie ahead. She implored the business men and women in the audience to get inspired and to become empowered to act on these future trends now. As would be expected, she foresaw a continuing demand for "green" technologies, but more surprisingly, she predicted that the most critical issue will be the availability of fresh water.

Karan Dhillon

A highly successful sales trainer, Karan provided information on the psychology of sales, helping even non-salespeople understand how to exercise greater control over their business and increase their ability to make money. Dhillon advised people to build their business in such a way as to make themselves extraneous - that is, to create a scenario in which the business can run itself, freeing up the owner to concentrate on creating something new.

John Kamp

Business coach and president of the Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce, John pointed out to the audience that their attitude - whether positive or negative - is a primary determiner of their business success, noting that whether you think you can accomplish something or think you can't, you're probably right. He challenged people to identify their primary goal and to make a commitment to themselves to accomplish it.

The presenters received rave reviews from the charged-up audience, who appeared grateful for a break from the steady stream of bad news and negativism, and ready to go out and turn things around.

And they can do it!
